To cover the costs associated with manuscript processing, peer review, editing, production, and online hosting, the journal levies Article Processing Charges (APCs) on authors whose manuscripts are accepted for publication.

APC Rates

  1. Regular Article Processing Charges (APC):
    • The standard APC for regular articles in Gema Lingkungan Kesehatan is Rp 1.800.000 or its equivalent in USD (approximately 120 USD).
    • Authors of regular articles are required to pay this fee upon acceptance of their manuscript for publication.
  1. Fast Track Article Processing Charges (APC):
    • For authors who opt for the Fast Track publication option, the APC is Rp 2.500.000 or its equivalent in USD (approximately 165 USD).
    • Fast Track publication expedites the review and production process, allowing accepted manuscripts to be published online more quickly.

Payment Process

  1. Invoice Issuance: Upon acceptance of the manuscript for publication, the corresponding author will receive an invoice detailing the applicable APC based on the article type (regular or Fast Track).
  2. Payment Methods: Authors can make payments via bank transfer or other accepted payment methods specified in the invoice. Payment instructions will be provided along with the invoice.
  3. Confirmation: Once payment is received and processed, the editorial office will confirm receipt of payment to the corresponding author.

Waivers and Discounts

  1. Waivers: Gema Lingkungan Kesehatan offers APC waivers or discounts to authors from low-income countries, institutions with limited funding, or in cases of financial hardship. Authors can request a waiver or discount at the time of submission, providing justification for their request.
  2. Membership Discounts: Members of certain professional societies or institutions may be eligible for APC discounts. Details of eligibility criteria and discount rates will be provided upon request.
