Author Guidelines

Gema Lingkungan Kesehatan invites authors to submit original research articles, reviews, and other scholarly contributions in the field of environmental health. Authors are encouraged to adhere to the following guidelines when preparing their manuscripts for submission.

Manuscript Structure

  1. Title Page:
    • Title: Provide a concise and informative title that accurately reflects the content of the manuscript.
    • Authors: List all authors' full names, affiliations, and email addresses.
    • Abstract: Include a structured abstract summarizing the purpose, methods, results, and conclusions of the study (maximum 250 words).
    • Keywords: Provide 3-5 keywords that capture the main topics of the manuscript.
  1. Main Text:
    • Introduction: Present the background, objectives, and significance of the study.
    • Methods: Describe the research design, data collection methods, and analytical techniques used in the study.
    • Results and Discussion: Present the findings of the study and discuss their implications in the context of existing literature.
    • Acknowledgments (optional): Acknowledge individuals or organizations that contributed to the research.
    • Conflict of Interest: Disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may influence the interpretation of the findings.
    • Funding (optional): Provide details of funding sources that supported the research.
    • Conclusion: Summarize the main findings of the study and their implications for future research or practice.
  1. References:
    • Use APA style for formatting references.
    • Include only references from the past 10 years, unless seminal or landmark works are cited.
    • List references alphabetically by the last name of the first author.

Manuscript Preparation

  1. Formatting:
    • Use 11-point Tahoma font, singgle-spaced throughout the manuscript.
    • Margins should be set to 1 inch on all sides.
    • Number all pages consecutively, starting with the title page.
  1. Figures and Tables:
    • Figures and tables should be embedded within the text at the appropriate locations.
    • Provide clear and concise captions for all figures and tables, with numbered citations in the text.
  1. Language:
    • Manuscripts should be written in clear and concise English.
    • Authors who are not fluent in English are encouraged to seek language editing assistance before submission.

Submission Process

  1. Online Submission: Manuscripts should be submitted through the online submission system of Gema Lingkungan Kesehatan.
  2. Cover Letter: Authors should include a cover letter with their submission, briefly outlining the significance and originality of the research.
  3. Manuscript Files: Submit the manuscript as a Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx)

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 10-point font Tahoma; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
